March with us on Sunday, June 8
PLACE: PFLAG Los Angeles will meet on Norton Avenue, most likely West of Crescent Heights. If you have trouble finding us, ask a Parade Volunteer. Or you can inquire about our location at the Check-in station located at the corner of Fountain and Crescent Heights. download map
TIME: Arrive by 10 am. The parade steps off sharply at 11 am.
DRESS: Wear a red T-shirt! It's not mandatory, but most of us will be decked out in red.
TIPS: Eat a good breakfast that morning. Bring water, sunscreen, a hat and snacks. Arrive early!
RULES: Marchers are not allowed to throw any item into the crowd OR engage in any activity that causes or promotes spectators to enter the parade route (such as giving or receiving hugs ... sorry folks). Parade organizers have stated that they will strictly enforce this rule this year. WARNING: Violating with rule will cause the entire contingent to be immediately removed during the parade!
PARKING: Parking and traffic congestion on Parade day in West Hollywood are impossible at best; any vehicles parked illegally WILL be ticketed and towed away. Consider carpooling. Suggested parking areas include East of Fairfax, Pacific Design Center, the Kings Road parking structure, and the Beverly Center.
The City of West Hollywood will suspend enforcement of permit parking from 4 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014 to 7 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2014. Metered parking will not be enforced on Sunday, June 8, 2014 during the day of the PRIDE Parade. Be careful to observe the boundaries of
the City of West Hollywood (map); if parking occurs in the City of Los Angeles or Beverly Hills, all parking restrictions must be observed.
More info from the City of West Hollywood.
FINALLY: Come prepared to have fun and
share in the LGBTQ community's celebration.
We're looking forward to seeing you!
If you're visiting the festival, stop by our
booth along the main entrance to say hello!
